Portfolio / Koralie's Wings

French artist Koralie created a series of intricate laser cut and engraved wood and paper figures for an exhibition of her work. The pieces draw on a variety of influences, incorporating iconography from a wide array of cultures. The gallery below shows the wings which were laser cut from a wide variety of papers, and affixed to the back of the wood elements of the figures. The intricacy of these pieces is hard to appreciate without seeing them in person—the thumbtack was included in a few of the images to attempt to give you an idea of the level of detail incorporated into each piece.
