After covering the walls of our office with pegboard panels to hold materials and tools, we decided to use the remaining material for our sign. We were able to laser cut our logo from the 1/4″ pegboard, which was backed with a sheet of 1/8″ orange acrylic. We saved both the letters and the loose pieces after laser cutting so we could accurately place the counter forms inside the letters b, a, and e. The sign is actually a box with space behind for a fluorescent bulb. Despite being considered “opaque” the backlit orange acrylic glows nicely, with both the letters and pegboard holes illuminated. The sign is hung from the wall using a french cleat.
