Portfolio / CNC Routing for Bittertang

For BOFFO Building Fashion 2013, Bittertang designed an installation inspired by Michael Bastian’s fall/winter 2013 collection. Their “Creepy Chic” interior warped and distorted antique furniture, and set the dark and eerie stage for Bastian’s clothing. We were asked to help CNC cut part of one element of their display, a shelf that was to look as if it was melting like wax. The drip-like shape was cut on the CNC router so it could be built up from sections instead of trying to carve the form from a solid block of material.
